SEASON SUMMARY
ROUND 1

The 2004 - 2005 season was our Rookie season, It began well with winning best presented car award on our first meeting, this was a great start, over the season it was only very rare occassions that we finished out of the top 4 positions, and then only due to either mechanical failures or accident damage.

We had several top 3 placings with a couple of wins along the way, including some trophies for 3rd and 2nd overall on the day. We entered in two divisions in the 3rd last round of the year and Shaz took 3rd place and driver of the day trophies - great on her first meeting.

This season was a very sucessful first season, we gathered vast amounts of information and worked extensively on our setups throughout the year.

We were pleased our performance at the Board titles in Portland, we ran in ran in four heats and finished 4th in all of them with the exception of one where we were put into the wall coming out of turn 4 and that was enough to destroy our chances of making the final

We attended two meetings at Goulburn Speedway towards the tail end of the season the first we ran in the super production division due to no series division being ran, we ran well against the faster fuel injected super cars and from memory finished 6th in the first heat and a turn 1 incident put us out for the night with a fan thru the radiator.

Our second visit we ran with other series production cars from our home club, this was a great night's racing although we ended up on our side then nose and then came crashing back down to earth harder than the space shuttle without chutes, but at least I didn't roll it, needless to say   the car was a bit worse for wear and there was several late nights to repair it.

ACT titles we were back ready to go and entered two divisions - Rookies (Mark) and Ladies (Shaz). First heat rookies spun on the first corner on a very wet track and finished about 6th, Shaz heat one ladies about lap 3 down the back straight all going real well then out of the blue the car got all loose and I mean real loose then to our surprie including Shaz the car rolled heavly 2 times and finished with the drivers door burried into the good old terra firma. This bought the day to an end and so the season for the #46 car - see news page for next season plans.

ROUND 8
Sunday 25th September, National Capital Speedway,

Well the new season began better than we expected for Melissa, she competed in all six heats and showed consistent improvement in skill and lap times through out the day and was showing some very good car control. As the day progressed so did her confidence in what was her first official race meeting.

Melissa won the trophy for Driver of the Day, this is impressive so early in her carrier.

Mark has moved out of rookies and into Series Production this season, sharing Melissa’s   #45 car, Mark finished 2nd overall for the day which was a great result.
